Tomb of the Medieval Kings - Guild Wars Forums

Okay, I just ascended for the first time...and got access to a new place, Dragon's Lair. But I also got access to the Tomb of the Medieval Kings. What's that? Is it a PvP arena? I'm not sure about all the PvP arenas in GW - is this one different to the others?

And why, in it, do I all of a sudden have a cape (I'm not in a guild)?

The Tomb is where you get to try for the Hall of Heros. Its 8 man PvP with all countries represented. You go through a series of trails, fight a bunch of teams and if you win your team gets 3 celestial sigils.

HoH, and GvG are the pinacle of GW PvP.

As for the cape...no clue, if your in a pvp area and in a group you get a red or blue cape to show that you are in a group. If you are not in a pvp area, and you have cape and are not guilded...well thats a bug.

Tombs is PvP. You've heard of the Hall of Heroes? HoH is the final stage of Tombs.

The capes are to distinguish the different teams.

Is this something that people normally get into after they've finished all the story missions? Or am I missing out?

And what's a Celestial Sigil?

Yes HoH=Hall of Heros and its the last fight in the Tombs. GvG=Guild vs. Guild.

You can make a pvp character and jump in whenever you want. Most people try to unlock skills, runes and elites before doing alot of PvP (I think). No harm in trying though, PvP is the funnest part of the game imo.

A celestial sigil is what you need to make a guild hall. They currently sell for about 40,000 gold.

Wrong, you DO have to ascend. The only way to reach Dragon's Lair Mission and the Tombs is being ascending.

No u can reach there by creating a PvP char as well.

Maybe, but unless you play the PvE game and get some skills and weapons unlocked, you going to die quickly. Yes there are faction points but you still need to play PvE to get to the priests...

lol... love to have a fight with you, my Ranger vrs your Warrior, if you say you have standard skills it be intersting to see how quickly you go down.

Apply Posion + Hunter's Shot, your posioned and bleeding
Whiring Defence, you begin to miss me.
Throw Dirt, your blind
Penterating Shot + Hunter's shot spam to hurt you.
Troll Urgent to heal
Uses Throw dirt again to blind you

And to make it even more annoying I'd simply use Distracting shot now and again to stop you healing using Healing Breeze or Sig... you die.

no, im not invincible. i loose at the number of kill rating things, my party dies, i do die im not invincible, i have killed many but have died to as have everyone so stop taunting me about being invincible because im not, no one is.

* If you don't have a PvP-character, you need to ascend in order to participate in the tombs
* The tombs is where you reach the Hall of Heroes. If your team wins the Hall of Heroes than you'll get faction points, fame, good items and 1 in the team will be rewarded with a celestial sigill.

I don't know what it's called in the american version but it's called "Tomb of the Primeval Kings" in the english one.
